About 6 years ago I added a digital download to Amazon Prime. It still makes between £20 and £50 a month. A few weeks ago I decide I will add a few more titles to Amazon. With YouTube turning in to a propaganda machine of government friendly information and lame American chat show clips I decide to invest more time in to Amazon. WHAT A MISTAKE AND A HUGE WASTE OF TIME.
I start by attempting to upload to Amazon video https://videocentral.amazon.com
Failed…. Other peoples YouTube videos uploaded fine (I tried) mine do not! I keep seeing the error Try again later.
I convert the files into Slightly different types of MP4s and use an encoder called H.624 as Amazon recommend, still the same problem.
I take the problem to Amazon’s (super polite but super useless) support. They recommend I add the files to another Amazon service called S3. Amazon call this service “simple storage.”
This is where the fun starts. Amazon S3 console is THE WORST online experience I have ever had. It is about as user friendly as fresh nettles would be a toilet paper substitute. After two weeks of fucking around reading, watching videos and attempting to add videos I still have NO IDEA what the fuck is happening.
Everything I do on S3 leads to a problem. I begin uploading files, after an hour the the upload stops, no reason given just the word error.
I start again after an hour I am automatically signed out. I sign in and start again. This time I have success, wow I’m nearly done I think to myself. WRONG.
I named the file wrong (my fault I should have read more carefully) not a problem I will just rename it. WRONG. To rename the files I have to re-upload it. The files is about 3 gb it takes a while.
I rename the file on the hard drive and re-upload it, done? I wish.
More problems. Now I see something the file exceeds the limit for bigger files use API with a click here for more information. I follow the link only to be taken to a MASSIVE page of nonsense. It might as well be written in Chinese. Take a look @ https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonS3/latest/API/RESTObjectSELECTContent.html
I try to read and understand it but WTF, I’m a video maker not a FUCKING COMPUTER programmer. Why is this so FUCKING complicated? Why can’t I just add to Amazon video direct like people on YouTube are?
I think Amazon are deliberately keeping me off their platform. S3 is useless AVOID AT ALL COSTS. But Amazon video direct is a simple site to use yet every time I upload my own work to it the upload fails.
The Amazon support team are about as helpful as a lump on your balls. Why not just tell the truth? We don’t want your shit on here? I want compensation for the 2 weeks of bullshit I have wasted trying to sort this out.
Amazon is censored.
If you are here for advice on how to use Amazon S3 my advice is don’t bother. Its useless.
Synthetic cannabis is being sold under many names spice, Black Mamba, fake pot, K2, K3, K4, herbal incense and many others. It was even sold legally on Amazon up until about 2011 (I can’t find the exact date Amazon removed these products) meaning that Amazon have promoted and popularized this product. Despite the fact it is not on Amazon anymore spice is still easily found and picked up MUCH cheaper than cannabis. It is also much stronger and much more dangerous than Cannabis.
I actually tried some a few years back before I knew what it was. A kid approached me in Wolverhampton when I was walking my dog. He noticed I was smoking a spliff as I regularly did when I was walking the dog. He told me that he could not get weed but they was selling this stuff in a shop in Wolverhampton and passed me a bag of it. It looked similar to weed but I remember it was darker and did not smell nothing like weed. He pulled out a spliff he had rolled and asked me to try some. I had a couple of hits and I remember being surprised of how strong it was considering it was being sold legally on Amazon and in shops in Wolverhampton city center. The effects it gave me were cannabis like effects but lucky enough for me I only had a couple of little hits of it.
I have since been educated about this drug and this is a truly dangerous drug. In fact the hospital local to me say that they have seen five deaths in one year as a direct result of this drug. The real numbers will (as always) be much worse than that as they were not even including accidents that people may have had after taking this stuff. Amazon should be forced in to paying HUGE AMOUNTS compensation for this. This drug has had such of a negative impact on the poor (looking for a cheap alternative to cannabis) and many families around the country have lost people to this drug.
I’m not only talking about the homeless and the poor but also the millions of Amazon customers that would have assumed that if Amazon are selling it it must be safe.
Synthetic marijuana users report experiences similar to those produced by natural marijuana — elevated mood, relaxation, and altered perception. Often, the effects can be stronger than those of natural marijuana due to the synthesized chemicals. Some users report psychotic effects like extreme anxiety, paranoia, and hallucinations.
Amazon have removed the products from their website but the damage has already been done! Thanks to Amazon this extremely dangerous product is now being used all over the country on a disturbing scale. The damage this drug has already caused is shocking and unseen by the masses and its going to get worse. Many of the homeless are currently using this drug because of its low cost and easy access.
Britain is polluted, the air is dirty and somebody must pay, who are the government going to tax to help fight the pollution problem we face? Maybe they might tax the energy companies. They charge a fortune and make a fortune from polluting the environment. Perhaps they may go after the corporate superstores, Amazon and other companies that indirectly have a negative impact on the environment. Of course instead of the above the government are considering introducing a tax on takeaway food containers!
It sounds reasonable to some but I don’t believe it is. It’s penny pinching and parasitic they are doing it from all angles. Your cigarettes are heavily taxed as is your alcohol, food, petrol, gas, electric and now food packaging. And you can be guaranteed that it will impact small businesses more so than McDonalds, KFC and so on.
This is what the British government seem to do and even consider to be governing. They are not solving the problem, a tax on take away food containers will not even come close to solving the problem but it will make money and it can be easily justified to people under the pretense that they are actually acting in interest of the environment.
I believe there should only be ONE tax. All taxes should be rolled in to one income tax and nothing else. These small taxes left, right and center are making the system complicated, creating paper work and having no benefit on anything other than the governments pockets.
The police and governments of the United States and United Kingdom are spending a lot of time and money fighting the “black markets.” These markets are usually only available through browsers like Tor. The man that started Silk Road and paved the way for the phenomenon of the “black markets” is named Russ Ulbright.
Russ Ulbricht was charged with money laundering, computer hacking, conspiracy to traffic narcotics, and procuring murder. The charge of procuring murder was removed from the indictment although the evidence was factored into Ulbricht’s sentence. Ulbricht was convicted of all the remaining charges after a jury trial that concluded in February 2015. He was sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole on 29 May 2015.
His arrest and imprisonment has done nothing to halt the success and progress of these markets. This got me thinking, what is the darkest blackest scariest market of them all. After just a couple of hours of searching I think I have found a contender!
The Market I am talking about sells many products on a daily basis including drugs, alcohol and strange sex toys. There are a few examples below. I will NOT share the links because they are too fucked!
Even many of the products that are seemingly innocent involve cruel working conditions, low wages, tax evasion, lobbying, exploitation, thievery, murder. I am of course talking about the blackest, darkest market of them all. AMAZON!
I have a few issues with Steemit, I believe its censoring its users, the flagging system is ridiculous and the payments rewards are a bit confusing and not very equal. It’s a shame about these issues because even with all of its flaws it still somehow manages to piss all over Google and YouTube and their ads when it comes to making money.
I know that is not much of a challenge, playing a recorder in Birmingham City Centre on a rainy Monday morning would probably make you money money than Google and YouTube and their ads. I have been on YouTube for over seven years and over them years I have had millions of views but received no more than £1000, I make more selling DVDs and Downloads on Amazon and I have made more from less than one year than I make on YouTube in four years using Steemit. Steemit and for that I am grateful. In fact the money I have made from Steemit has relieved some pressure massively.
But the best thing about Steemit (at least for me) is that Steemit introduced me to Cryptocurrency, without Steemit, I would have no bitcoin and bitcoin is good it involves a bit of fucking around but once you have set it up it is very useful for lots of things, I am pretty impressed so far.
Recently while looking on Amazon I notice somebody selling an iPod case described as “iPad Mini 2 case PoverfyInIndla Extreme Poverty Around The World Wolvoman80.” I just want to clarify this product has nothing to with me! I am not selling the product and I have no idea who is, other than the sellers name on Amazon.com which is “karenring.” At $20 I am pretty sure most people would never buy it anyway in fact looking at the product I wouldn’t buy it for 20 pence.
Corporations are notoriously greedy and a lack of respect for human rights is something that many corporations lacks. Walmart, Google, Facebook, Tesco, News Corporation and many other corporations act with shocking greed. They sell mass made, low quality products at high prices, they use child labour, pay no tax, exploit, extort, manipulate and lie, Amazon are among the worst offenders. Whats more is they have more control over information then most people realize.
Amazon own over 40 subsidiaries including Zappos, Diapers.com, Kiva Systems, Goodreads, Teachstreet, Alexa and IMDb. They have a huge monopoly in eBooks and online shopping. In fact a few months ago, I ordered a product from an alternative website costing me about £7.00 more than it would from Amazon just to avoid using the money loving, parasites, but when the product arrived it come from Amazon!
Alexa rank is a data website that keeps stats on website usage, my website was climbing “the rankings” fast, it leap from 11th millionth to about 3 millionth (the last time I checked) within just a couple of months! A few weeks later the data completely cleared and I was back down at the very bottom. Lucky for me I don’t particularly give a FUCK where parasites like Amazon rank my site, but if they are manipulating data like that on Alexa rank what is going on with other sites they own.
IMDb for example, I have believed for a long time that IMDb is manipulated. Especially with mainstream movies and TV, Walt Disney’s Inside out rated better than Raging bull? Firefly rated better than Vikings, Narcos and House of Cards? Arrested Development better than Only Fools and Horses? Pretty Little Liars has more than one out ten? Are people stupid or are Amazon paid, my guess is both!
Tax evasion, exploitation, lack of workers rights, manipulation of statistics and media, lobbying and absolute parasitic greed make AMAZON one of the most corrupt and disgusting corporations that exist.
BOYCOTT ALL AMAZON.

Deforestation of the Amazon Rainforest The main source of Deforestation in the Amazon Rainforest is human settlement and development of the land. In nine years from 1991 to 2000 the most area cleared from the Amazon Rainforest rose from 415,000 to 587,00 km squared , which is comparable to the land area of Spain, Madagascar, or Manitoba. Most of the lost forest has been replaced with pasture for cattle. In February 2008, the Brazilian government announced that the rate in which the Amazon Rainforest was being destroyed has been increasing noticeably during the time of the year that it normally slows: in just the five months of 2007 more than 3,200 square kilometers an area equivalent to the state of Rhode Island, was cut down. The Amazon Rainforest continues to shrink though the rate deforestation has been slowing in recent years with 2012 having the slowest rate of deforestation since records began. However the rate had increased again in 2013.
I have suspected manipulation of stats on YouTube and Google plus for quite a while now, my followers on Google plus has been stuck on 436 for months. To be honest this does not really bother me at all as I cannot stand Google plus, I find it to be a complete waste of time in fact I would not even have an account if it were not for Google forcing all YouTubers to either have a Google plus account or close their YouTube account!
This morning however as I was about to share a link on Google plus I noticed that Google plus insights had counted 441 new followers in one day, I also noticed that I’m receiving no messages on YouTube, Google plus or anywhere (it is not very often I do not get at least a few emails.) The 441 new followers were never actually added or counted as new Google+ followers, in fact I still have 436 just like the day before as Google+ own stats show.
Whatever the reason is for this technical problems or censorship Google+ stats like YouTube stats (I have had similar problems on YouTube stats) are clearly inaccurate and therefore pretty useless.
I closed my Facebook and Twitter accounts due to the political censorship being employed by them but closing my YouTube account due to the same censorship policies and Google’s refusal to pay me what they owe me for my video views, would eradicate all the hard work put in to building my channel to level it is at. Unfortunately all I can do for now is sit tight and wait for Google to be forced to follow some regulations that would prevent them from acting with such greed, the problem is Google are among the biggest lobbyists in USA and Europe. In other words the government are under Google’s control so the chances of Google facing any real opposition is slim.
I know what most of you are thinking, yes it does make you a hypocrite but let me attempt to defend this “obscene hypocrisy” to you.
I make zero budget documentaries, I was surprised sometimes even amazed at the success of some of these videos and wanted a DVD release for some of them, I chose Amazon as the company to distribute my DVDs not because I liked Amazon but because Amazon is our only option! “Nonsense” I hear you shout but I have contacted at least 30 to 40 Distributors, Amazon Create Space really was other then a couple that did contact me back, my only option at the time.
Amazon is undeniable user friendly and efficient compared to alternatives, the very few alternative self publishing companies, at that time (I last released a DVD over three years ago) were complicated to use, requiring file types that I was not even aware existed and irritating to the point of unusable DVD front cover designer software. Since then I have began to sell downloads using Sellfy but the sales on Sellfy are slow compared to the sales on Amazon.
Obviously this is due to the fact that Amazon has a huge monopoly when it comes to online sales and some of that success is definitely due to the user friendliness of Amazon as a customer and a publisher. The second reason I chose Amazon is obvious, millions of potential customers use it! As a publisher I wish their was an alternative but if their is I am still to find it, I don’t make a lot of money from Amazon but its something and I have a family to feed. I have set out alternatives (all my videos are on YouTube for free and many torrent websites as well as Sellfy) for people that like me refuse to spend money with Amazon due to their tax evasion, exploitation, zero hour contracts, lobbying and their general greed but unfortunately not using Amazon to sell due to my dislike of Amazon would be like removing my YouTube videos (something YouTube does regularly) due to my dislike of YouTube, the only person that loses anything is me, Amazon and YouTube will not even Notice I have gone.
I believe Amazon and companies like them should pay a fair wage to their workers as they should pay a fair amount of tax on their profit (50% for the least) they paid 0.5% last year. I believe as the customer its our responsibility to consider ethical issues before feeding the monster but as a seller you go where the people go, that just happens to be Amazon, you tell me the alternative?
Not using certain online services nowadays can led to not being heard at all and that is a big problem, what do you want us to do? Sit in silence in protest of corporate greed or use their own devices against them for as long as they allow us? Because I think YouTube, Facebook, Amazon, Twitter and many other online services and corporations do not care much for the truth, even if they do make money on it.
The disclaimer reads; Tom & Jerry” shorts may depict some ethnic and racial prejudices that were once commonplace in American society. Such depictions were wrong then and are wrong today. While not representing the Warner Bros. view of today’s society, these shorts are being presented as they were originally created, because to do otherwise would be the same as claiming these prejudices never existed.
Thank you to Amazon for stating the fucking obvious, Tom and Jerry dates back nearly 80 years and unlike kids T.V today at least Tom and Jerry is funny. Amazon are obviously outraged by the racism in Tom and Jerry so much so they feel the need to warn the viewers before they purchase Tom and Jerry.
If Amazon are going to give us warnings of racism on their products instead of pointing out comical racism that is nearly 80 years old why don’t Amazon point out the racism of modern day corporations that have products for sale on Amazon.
Corporations like Nike, Apple, Adidas, Sony, Microsoft and many others use child labour in third world nations and pay as little as 10 pence per hour when the corporations are making billions.
These businesses exploit foreign children, they work long hours and in conditions that would not be allowed in the countries that these businesses sell their products and make their profit from. What kind of racism is more harmful, cartoons exaggerating features and mocking other cultures for comical effect or the kind of racism that leads to millions of poor foreign children working as modern day slaves for multinational, billionaire corporations that contribute almost nothing to the tax system and yet control our government and leaders with lobbying.
I am aware that Tom and Jerry is offensive to some people but Tom and Jerry cannot be changed, that was acceptable in those days. My children love Tom and Jerry and I have always considered Tom and Jerry the best cartoon of all time, when we watch Tom and Jerry we are watching history, its simple stereotypical, broad, violent sometimes offensive and deliberately over the top humor, but lets be honest it is funny as F**K. The animation and the characters have still to be matched by modern day cartoons or anything since.
Classic Tom and Jerry cannot and should not be changed but what can be changed is the corporate slavery bought on by the ignorance and even racism of the masses. If Amazon really care about racism I believe they should point racism out in all their products and not just the 80 year old cartoons.
Maybe the disclaimer would go like this; Apple products may use some ethnic and racial prejudices that are still commonplace in American society. Such ethnic and racial prejudices are wrong. This is representing the Apple’s view of today’s society, these products are being presented as they were originally created, because to do otherwise would be the same as claiming these prejudices never existed.
