I know to some people the world seems like a lovely place and this may sound unbelievable but the world has a dark side and that dark side is poverty, oppression and even starvation on a mass scale. Why do some people have so much when others do not even have essentials or even close to decent living conditions? Even in the West the “civilized” world where most people can afford to eat we still see high suicide rates, depression, much mental illness and poverty.

Why is this the case? How is it this huge planet that grows food all over it can not sustain us? The answer is it can! The problem is not a shortage in the supply of food the problem is a fault in the distribution of food. As far as a business is concerned why would they want to distribute food to a location that the food is not valuable or unfordable? This is the price of the ultra capitalistic world they are creating. They literally care more about profit than they care about people.

Africa is a perfect example (as always) it suffers from huge poverty and starvation yet running through Africa is second largest rainforest in the world. A place that grows more unspoiled food than we could possibly consume. In most cases travel restrictions are to blame for both the shortage of incoming food and the for the deaths of people seeking food as travel restriction prevent them from moving.

This is yet another example of how governments cause much more problems than they solve, even worse is they sometimes even create problems intentionally, why would they do this? Because the solution usually leads to governments being given extra funding in taxes and/or extra powers and more control.

Despite such high rates of poverty around the world and in their own nations and the huge sums of money collected in tax and evaded in tax by corporations and billionaires every years the government are not so fast to address poverty as a problem. This is because unlike terrorism there is no profit to be made in fighting poverty unless you are talking about charities because charities have found a way to make a profit from “fighting” poverty. They use and collect for poverty to make themselves rich.

We are in a class war and the rich are literally acting like parasites taking everything for themselves and leaving the poorer classes short. Thats not to say we can blame everything on the rich because we don’t fight them, we let them carry on extorting us and pass the blame and take our anger out on immigrants.

Africa is also rich in natural resources unfortunately for the African people that wealth does not flow through the African economy and help the African people in fact it helps corporations and businesses who exploit the situation and use Africa and other poor nations for cheap labour, metals, food, oil and huge profit.

Hunters of wild animals stagger me, we live in what some scientists are now calling the sixth mass extinction yet some people feel the need to speed up the process by killing animals that are already low in numbers. Lion numbers are down to their thousands, some breeds of Tiger are down to the last few hundred as are certain species of Elephant and Rhinos yet all of these amazing animals are at risk of being randomly killed and bought even closer to extinction by hunters for numerous reasons, their coat, teeth, horn, tusk or just to pass time any excuse to kill, kill, kill.

These disgusting people have their photographs taken with them standing next to the dead animal with disturbing grins on their faces as if they genuinely believe that they have done something amazing, well they have not! If a man was to kill a Lion, Tiger, Bear (Kuala bear excluded), Elephant or a Rhino with nothing but his hands I would be amazed and forced to admit that “the kill” was an achievement worthy of being proud of, but the fact that these “hunters” use guns against an animal that has no idea what the “hunters” are planning and an animal that may be used to seeing people around and therefore they may be not overly fearful of people making them easier to hunt.

It would be like me stalking Wladimir Klitschko, shooting him and posing with his remains, would that mean I beat Klitschko? I bravely outsmarted him by pulling a trigger as he was about to take a nap? Would I deserve credit? I can not comprehend the “hunters” logic.

Not all celebrity deaths emotionally touch people no matter how hard the media try.
Not all celebrity deaths emotionally touch people no matter how hard the media try, as these unsold copies of the Daily Mail shows.

Celebrity lives is big news but celebrity death is even bigger news, that’s why when certain A list celebrities die the media will run stories around the death for months and months following, the media show us pictures of emotional families that most the time probably want to be left alone, they present the death of some celebrities as sad emotional stories and for the friends and families of these people it no doubt is, I understand their grief and I sympathize with these people, I even understand the grief of the reader as reading about people that have families getting killed and leaving a gap is always sad. The media however is  most of the time just after a story to shift a few copies and take a bit of space!

Our media should spend less time reporting celebrity deaths and less time showing us the grieving families and focus their attention on the premature deaths of African children, our mainstream media seem keen to avoid this subject, they obviously believe that the deaths of millionaire celebrities is much more tragic and upsetting than the deaths of African people.

The worst thing is people in Britain seem to fall for it, to the average Brit the death of a millionaire celebrity is much more of a tragedy than the death of a million African people.

Some 805 million people in the world do not have enough food to lead a healthy active life. That’s about one in nine people on earth.

The vast majority of the world’s hungry people live in developing countries, where 13.5 percent of the population is undernourished.

Asia is the continent with the most hungry people – two thirds of the total. The percentage in southern Asia has fallen in recent years but in western Asia it has increased slightly.

Sub-Saharan Africa is the region with the highest prevalence (percentage of population) of hunger. One person in four there is undernourished.

Poor nutrition causes nearly half (45%) of deaths in children under five – 3.1 million children each year.

One out of six children — roughly 100 million — in developing countries is underweight.

One in four of the world’s children are stunted. In developing countries the proportion can rise to one in three.

If women farmers had the same access to resources as men, the number of hungry in the world could be reduced by up to 150 million.

66 million primary school-age children attend classes hungry across the developing world, with 23 million in Africa alone.

WFP calculates that US$3.2 billion is needed per year to reach all 66 million hungry school-age children.

World hunger and extreme poverty have been on the rise in recent years, I believe that established and developed nations are deliberately oppressing nations that are rich in natural resources in order to steal their natural resources. Due to the fact that much of the poverty in Africa and many poor nations around the world is a result of western interference and exploitation, our governments in UK, USA and Europe have a duty to end this and the people in the nations UK, USA and Europe have a duty to take note of the situation and hold our governments accountable.

I am not talking about charity or vaccines these people should be feed, sheltered and most importantly of all receive a fair price for either the work they do or the resources that are found in their countries. For example Nigeria is an oil nation, how does an oil rich nation end up with 207718 children severely malnourished? Bad governing? If the Nigerian government are that bad why do the American government think it is alright to do business with them giving them even more power?

We can not help provide clean water for African Nations but we can stick needles in their children!

I used to be quite a big fan of Stephan Fry, I love Blackadder and I was a big fan of Q.I and I always thought Stephan Fry was an intelligent, witty person, until the last few years. Stephan Fry has always been politically active and outspoken, for example Wikipedia claims;

Fry was an active supporter of the Labour Party for many years and appeared in a party political broadcast on its behalf with Hugh Laurie and Michelle Collins in November 1993. He did not vote in the 2005 General Election because of the stance of both the Labour and Conservative parties with regard to the Iraq. Despite his praise of the Blair/Brown government’s work on social reform, Fry has been critical of the Labour Party’s “Third Way” concept. Fry appeared in literature to support changing the British electoral system from first-past-the-post to alternative vote for electing members of parliament to the House of Commons in the Alternative Vote referendum in 2011.[138]

On 30 April 2008, Fry signed an open letter, published in The Guardian newspaper by some well-known Jewish personalities, stating their opposition to celebrating the 60th anniversary of the founding of the State of Israel.[139]Furthermore, he is a signatory member of the British Jews for Justice for Palestinians organisation, which campaigns for Palestinian rights.[140] Fry was among over 100 signatories to a statement published by Sense About Science on 4 June 2009, condemning British libel laws and their use to “severely curtail the right to free speech on a matter of public interest”

Stephan Fry has also attacked religion and God, who according to Fry is “utterly evil” and a “monstrous God” Fry is an atheist and I respect his opinion on God we are all allowed to think freely and base our opinions around our thoughts and surroundings, I don’t believe in the God Stephan Fry “don’t” believe in either and I am not an atheist.

Stephan Fry was recently among the signatories of an open letter calling on the government to pardon all 49,000 men historically prosecuted for homosexuality, including around 15,000 who are still living. And I agree that all 49,000 men historically prosecuted for homosexuality should be pardoned, obviously they should be pardoned (not that the not living ones will care anymore) in fact they should not have been prosecuted in the first place. So if I agree that Fry should be allowed to express his opinion on God and religion no matter how offensive some people might find and I agree that gay people should be pardoned and deserve equal rights, why is Stephan Fry irritating me so much?

Because Stephan Fry calls God “evil” but at the same time he kisses the real evil, greedy, royals behind. He is on cordial terms with Prince Charles, through his work with the Prince’s Trust. He attended the Prince’s wedding to Camila Parker Bowles in 2005. He constantly raves on about gay rights and injustices of the past, but seems to have forgot about the injustices that are still going on in the world in the present day. Corporate exploitation of third world nations, people starving in the Africa when single families and individuals have billions of pounds and thousands of acres and much of their fortune is actually based and built on exploitation of poorer nations.

Maybe people like Stephan Fry would be more interested in these issues if we tried inserting the word “GAY” in the sentence Corporate exploitation of third world “GAY” nations and “GAY people starving in the Africa.

People in the West are sometimes showed disturbing images of children starving to death, with these images we are sometimes told the life story of the child that we are watching starve, if these videos do not disturb and upset you, you are probably not human or you don’t have a soul or something. After we watch these videos we are given a quick and easy way to quickly donate to help prevent any more children from going through this kind of suffering. Some people happily donate to these charities, as did I but when you look at the big picture these charities are not working and charity is patronizing to the African people. The people of Africa can look after themselves and cringe worthy charity songs like Band Aid 30 is embarrassing, patronizing and ridiculous. They have people that have hundreds of millions in their bank accounts sing “feed the world” to us?

If the West really wanted to help Africa we could maybe stop stealing their valuable natural resources, not that not stealing from somebody is actually helping them. If we see an old woman crossing the road and we do not grab her handbag and run, did we help them? How do the West exploit Africa?

Africa has a large quantity of natural resources including oil, diamonds, salt, gold, iron, cobalt, uranium, copper, bauxite, silver, petroleum and cocoa beans, it also has woods and tropical fruits. Much of its natural resources are undiscovered or barely harnessed. If Africa have all these natural resources then why are the African people living in poverty? EXPLOITATION.

Nigeria is the continent’s biggest oil producer, at least $400bn (£250bn) of oil revenue has been stolen or misspent since independence in 1960, according to estimates by former World Bank vice-president for Africa, Oby Ezekwesili. That is 12 times the country’s national budget for 2011. Meanwhile, 90% of people in Nigeria live on less than $2 per day.

Corrupt African governments are not the only exploiter of African people, Britain, USA and some of Europe’s economies and wealth are built on the exploitation of Africa!

Kofi Annan, the former UN secretary-general, written a 120-page Africa Progress Report, which he claims shows how the economic benefits of extracting natural resources such as oil and iron often fail to flow through to the local population. In the report he writes”Africa loses twice as much in illicit financial outflows as it receives in international aid,” he goes on to write “It is unconscionable that some companies, often supported by dishonest officials, are using unethical tax avoidance, transfer pricing and anonymous company ownership to maximize their profits, while millions of Africans go without adequate nutrition, health and education.”

Britain’s debt is Africa is HUGE, we owe Africa they do not owe us, the Slave Trade, cotton, sugar, tobacco, diamonds, gold, coal, oil the list is massive, we misguided Britain’s are told that Africa would not survive without our charity, this is not true, it is actually the other way round! People in Britain do not depend on Africa to live, we however depend on Africa to live the lifestyles we live. Britain’s debt to Africa is Trillions of pounds in money but it is also worse than that.

Africa’s Growing Strategic Relevance
